Traditional transmissions transfer power exclusively through the truck, without involving the trailer, which, however, contains the weight carried. SAI’s solutions are designed to also motorize the trailer, improving efficiency, especially in difficult conditions, while reducing impact on the ground. In addition:

• We obtain a continuous variation of the transmission of the trailer synchronously to the traction of the tractor unit
• With the displacement variation of up to 10:1, it is possible to cover the operating range by powering the motor from the tractor’s auxiliary services
• By operating in freewheeling, mechanical disengagement is avoided, without powering the motor
